Ok I am thinking of selling my prelude. Everyone tells me no including the
wife(strange i know) but kinda want to try something new.
price: 13,000 OBO (i know its high, blue book is 10,565 but its got
alot of mods plus i know people are gonna talk me down.)
trade plus cash: more into hondas 92 to about 2001, maybe a gsr
teg 94 and up, but who knows let me know what you got
It will not have the black wheels on it, it will have the factory SH
wheels which are still highly wanted.
Mods are:
New brakes all the way around
carbon fiber trim inside(minus left door came this way)
Infinty speakers all the way around (not a system)
Kenwood CD player with remote
New Windshield (caught a rock on the way to NOPI)
Fresh Paint
Brand new Honda Front bumper
Brand new driver Fender (fender bender will explain below)
Header (don't remember name)
Newer battery (two months old)
New Lightweight Flywheel (8 lb installed 500 miles ago)
New Exedy Clutch (installed 500 miles ago)
Brand new rear main seal installed with clutch installment
500 miles on Honda Tranny fluid
500 miles on Honda ATTS fluid (Just Honda auto tranny fluid)
New plugs and wires
New headlights
Ported and Polished Intake manifold
Runners removed from the intake manifold
Ported and Polished head
Golden Eagle Cam Seal
Rocker arms custom cut to fit the higher Springs and retainers
Crower Stainless Steel Valves (Part Number# 97415I and 97415E)
Crower CNC Titanium Retainers (Part Number# 87093d-16)
Crower Dual Springs (Part Number# 68184-16)
All the Timing system has 2000 miles. (all belts, tensioner, water pump replaced)
All the Seals and gaskets are Honda parts
New Power steering pump (started whining)
New Slave cylinder
500 Miles on fuel filter (A pain to get to)
Fresh Oil (changed every 3000 miles)
New antifreeze and Hoses
apexi VAFC2 air and fuel controler
Plug in wiring system for VAFC2 (so the factory wiring harness isn't cut open)
that should be it. I know most people could care less about some
of the stuff on the list like the antifreeze. But its for the people
that want to know it all.
The Good:
Well the car hasn't been tuned but will be by next week then to
the dyno. Its still runs well. It will be better tuned. When you get
high in RPM you can feel the power slow down but that will be
gone by next Saturday. The 0-60 is ok(but my bud has a turbo RSX
that i am comparing it too). It will outrun most import cars running
N/A. I was really surprised by the 70 MPH into 3rd runs. It will get
up and move then. I have raced my buds prelude and pulled him
very well.:goodjob:
The Bad:
There is only one wreak on this car that i know of. It was
a side fender bender. It hit from the front of the fender to
the back of it. It missed the headlight and did bust the
side mirror but was replaced. The door had a little red paint
on it but not dents and hood left the wreak with no damage
at all. I bent the driver coner of it when i opened it to see if
there was any damage but it was fixed and repainted as well. I
have pics of the damage on here. No other damage, didn't even
mess up my wheel just kinda bounced off of him. The front
bumper just had a little scratch on it didn't dent or break or
anything. But I couldn't handle the scratch so i got a new one
to put on it.

This is a great car and gets lots of notice around here. 5th gens
are getting more common but the SH is still holding on to the
rareity factor. like i said this is just an idea if people would want
this car. If the right deal comes along i'll go with it but remember
it has to pass emission here.:2up: If its 95 and down it doesn't
really matter.
the first pics are older but will look like this if sold. Factory wheels on it.
