does 1040 sound right to get a rebuilt head/gaskets/oil/coolant to ya'll???


i think most of ya'll know my story?


rebuilt ls head (warrantied) is like 350

labor about 500

coolant flush/oil change about 50

gaskets and other stupid shit is the rest i guess...

but does that seem right???

dude told me that both my heads were basically f'd.. both bent valves and other stuff.....

if it wasn't for my boss, i'd be screwed, he cut me a check to cover it.. and i'm just gonna pay him back over time...

i know i've complained about my boss as a boss.. BUT HE'S AN AWESOME FRIEND!!! (doesn't hurt that he spent like 5000 on a pair of cowboy boots.. so 1000 to him is nothing but still)

$550 to RR Honda 4cyl Head
$35 FLuids fees (oil /coolant)
$20 surface head
$65 headgasket

you supply the LS head

A rebuilt head with a warranty for $350 is CHEAP IMO. it would cost $150 for a used head

i had two heads.. he said both were messed up and it'd be cheaper to get a rebuilt one...
