The supercharged CTS-V that hangs at Barrett? I've talked to him a time or two. Really cool guy. I know he makes about 100rwhp more than me so not sure how interesting of a race it would be... but I'm down.

If the Supra makes 375-425rwhp, I'm down. Not looking to waste gas in running a 600whp car, but if it's a good, close race, I'm always down.

I'm game. I've got a system and heavier-than-stock wheels, so we'd probably be about evenly matched in weight. I'd hope a 67mm Supra will beat an intake/headers car. Let me know if he's down.

First of all, your car is stock. It would be a waste of gas. If you notice, you'll see I called out HEAVILY MODDED bolt-on 350Zs and supercharged 350Zs. :rolleyes:

Second of all, by the time you boost (which I've heard a zillion times before), I'll have modded my Z at which point I'll gladly run your boosted 350Z of fury. Who knows, I may have some extra cubes, few more mods, and some nitrous.

They sure have more than that car to race. I've seen Stock boosted cars there all the time. Give them a call. They can provide cars right away. Their customers would also love to as well :yes:

I ask again just for a freindly run and he said no. You were sitting in the car I beleive. There was a slow ass pewter saleen mustang right in front of you that said they would race since you wouldn't little to say that wasn't even a race. I can't wait fo you to get back up here to outrun my C5 Z06. I hope we can run for a little $$$$ well just to make in fun.When you comming back up here??????

Well, i don't remember you coming up to me and asking if we could run.... Also, when i ran all those cars my motor was not built, it was stock with a twin turbo kit.....Building a VQ motor cost a lot of money.... I rather save that money and buy another car..... My car is currently at Maximum Velocity Motorsports in Ringold Ga. getting pistons, rods, better exhaust, and some other things that i can't remember.... I'm will not be the fastest on the street by far, but if i want to play i can press on the gas and go.... Theres not much here guys but only a 500whp 350z.... There i said it.... Everyone expects me to come out with about 1000whp, but like i said, "that's too much money to dump in a car." But when i come out we can run... Just as long as it's for fun..... I don't run my car everytime someone pull up next to me or tells me they want to run.... My car is a weekend car..... It's not that fast anyhow..... Back then it was putting down 401whp and 423torque.... And when i get it back in April it'll only put down around 500whp and mayby 530 torque..... But if you want to run and you catch me in the right day no problem..... I know V8's are fast... I see them run at the track all the time.....

Pretty stupid call out. Sorry but your asking 230whp to 300whp cars to take on a car that stock is lighter and puts down roughly over a supercharged Z 50 more to the wheels with gobs more torque. That is a major handicap, what's the difference from you racing a TT Z thats putting down 400-450 to the wheels since it's not made of fiberglass?

Bitching and calling out is one thing, but if you call them out, you better be prepared for a powerful car to come kicking your door down, you nit pick when someone brings an overpowered car to the fight, but you yourself were the overpowered car who started it.

How is it unfair? 5.7 liters vs 3.5 liters. You said high bolt ons or superchargers? You know the turbos are putting down more, so take a shot at them. Hell im sure a number of people on my350z would love to race you with their TT Z's. We had a single turbo who ran down here in AZ and put up a damn good fight against a C6 Z06 with unbuilt internals. If you want a bolt on car that could kick yours around, pick on an AMG car. That IS power. 5.5 liters of it. Automatic with the ability to hit over 200 quite easily.

I love my 350z, but I know it will not be close to as powerful of a car as the Mercedes cars we work on or boost. So please. Pick a fight with something closer to your literage...bolt on, for bolt on.

I do not know who said it, but the Z's interior is equally as flimsy as a Corvettes, I personally like it. Sports cars aren't made to be luxury cars, and shouldn't sweat the details. They should be ready to get it on when you smack the gas and your head should hit that cheap rough slab they call a headrest.

We all know the LS engines are proven, Chevy does V8's right. Who cares what car maker it's from anyway? An engine works and does what it's supposed to do, it doesn't gain power because of the badge that sits on top of it.

If you want a race, go onto MY350Z.com, they took down the street racing forums because they didn't want people killing people. So simply challenge someone at the track. Or if you want an interesting bolt on fight. Challenge the ever rare 07 Z's with their HR engines and their 7500 redline.

Stock 07 with a 2.2 60 ft. 13.6 at 104mph, theres a lot more left in that with the right tires, bolt ons and a tune and of course dropping that 60ft.

The single turbo Z that ran against the Z06 lost by a couple of car lengths. His power was 446whp/505tq on stock block, he had it boosted for roughly 60k miles or more, so his engine was just as reliable as an LS series engine :O...(For those of you not noticing my sarcasm i'm saying both engines can take a beating, not that both are POS')

To be honest im not super brandtastic either, I just don't like when people compare very different cars over things. My Z will get smoked by a TON of cars, is my car fast? I think it's quick, but not FAST. The funny thing is if you go onto the MY350Z boards, most of the guys on there would trade their nuts for a C6 Z06, and most of them talk about how the Z doesn't stack up to other cars, not too big of an ego trip there at all.

As american cars go...if I couldn't find a 350Z when I was looking, I wanted a 0x+ Supercharged Cobra, the sound of it is worth it alone!

Fast cars....I raced my boss in a Noble M400. If anyone wants to get humbled....race one of those, thats a FAST car. From the time it took me to hit off the 1-2 shift he was already gaining bus length's....and what sat in the back? Twin Turbo...V6...Ford....Modified..DURATEC...Simply awesome.

Anyway, I am not sure where you are getting your info from, but that is completely NOT true. I raced that 350Z about 5x, and the only time he beat me is when I let him (put it in the wrong gear and had a passenger). That 350Z owner got a new exhaust system and a retune, and we will be reracing again soon while capturing it on tape. Once the race takes place, I will report back with the video.

It is a fast car, but it will take a 350Z some serious power to out run a stock C6 Z06..:D

I tried digging up the thread, but I believe it was deleted with the rest of the street racing forums. Now we only have *legal* racing forums on MY350Z forums. No doubt the Z06 is a monster, at all. It would take a Z a large amount of work to fight with one, a whole lot more whp and tq then the Z06 needs to do the job. Which dollar per performance is a lot of money to make that Z compete at all. Speaking of, you had an 04 SRT 10? Those were the newer style ones right? A friend of a buddy has an 05 or 06 SRT10 Viper which year I can't remember and has beaten a couple of C6 Z06's and a couple of exotics. Was wondering then why you switched out for the Z06? Just overall more power or does it get the power down to the ground more handily, since that Viper came stock with beefy 300+ series tires.

I can't remember if it is Sharif's guys or another shop who have built a couple of 4x0Z TT's that are belching out absurd amounts of power. I know Sharif put together Albertos and a couple of other awesome performing Z's.

Right now it seems like a lot of companies are building stroker TT Z's and it seems like their all competing for 800+ numbers on the newer turbo kits coming out.

Thats the new sleeper from GTM putting down 800/800+ whp & Torque. Beautiful how it looks stock. Though I believe he runs it on low boost which is closer to around 600wheels or so at 16psi to make it streetable, at least thats the lowest dyno pic I saw was the 600whp 16 psi. Not so sure I'll have to double check.

I didn't miss a shift, I put the car in the wrong gear. We went from a 65/70 and I put it in third gear instead of second intentionaly to give the guy a chance and see what would happen. He pulled on me a bit until my rpms started climbing up, and just as I was about to pass he shut down..lol. It's all good.

I got out of the Viper and into the Z06 because the Z06 is a much better overall car, and not to mention it is quicker/faster too than the 03-06 Vipers..;)

Hey guys...I raced that same 350Z AGAIN today after he got some new stuff put on. On 18 psi, he made 550 rwhp on race gas. We tried racing while he was on 18 psi but his car was acting funny, so he took it down to 16 psi and the car ran well. I am not sure how much rwhp he lost going down two psi's, but it can't be that much. Not sure if it would have mattered anyway.;) My car is bone stock making 460 rwhp.

Vid will be up shortly. It is a crappy video due to the camera angle. I had a camera mount in my car that I used, but you definitely get the idea from this video. Stay tuned..:)

IMO even if the TT350z DID win on race gas and like 20+psi (and it wouldn't be by a very wide margin).... doing something like that to your vehicle that absolutely destroys the reliability of the motor just to compete with a LSx motor that performs like your grenade-o-motor on a reliable, long-term, daily basis is hardly what i call a 'win'

it's one thing if it's a track car, but if it's something street driven fairly regularly ... that's ridiculous. I can get my car up to 450rwhp easily and still drive it 50-100k+ miles even beating the crap out of it on occasion.

That video only shows what I was talking about.. TT VQ's make nice numbers and they're fun but they are not geared for high horsepower.. you can see the 350Z shift at least 3 times and dropped back significantly every time.

My car makes 500+whp on 93 pump gas, but on race gas its another story. Why would I limit myself in a race against another car by only using pump though? Why would anybody for that matter?

I could use 100 octane pump and bump the power up even more if I really wanted to.

All it takes is a little bump in boost/timing and it covers that "another bolt-on". ;)

How would it not be reliable though? Revving the crap out of the motor will kill it faster than using higher octane.
