Hey guys, can anyone teach me how to put rims on a car or change colors without making it look really stupid? I don't even know where to start...I wanna know how to change this car and fit the things I want on it...

Color Change; Method 1 (http://www.photoshopjunkie.com/tutorials/color1/index.htm)
Color Change; Method 2 (http://www.photoshopjunkie.com/tutorials/color2/index.htm)

Method 2 yields better looking results, but it's harder to get the color you want.

Another method is to simply use the paintbrush, and select whichever color you want.

Select the area you want to paint, and then go to Image/Adjustments/Desaturate. You can also go to Hue/Saturation and adjust the saturation yourself if you don't want to completely remove all color.

Create a new layer via copy (Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V).

Click the paintbrush icon, and go to the drop-down menu right below the taskbar, labeled "Mode:". Default is "Normal"...open the menu and select "Soft Light" or "Overlay". You decide which one looks better. I use Soft Light.

Hold control and click on the layer button of the copy you made. This will load the selection of the body or whatever you wanted to paint.

After that...just pick your color and paint the car. You can adjust the brush sizes so you can do it in one stroke.

It's harder to do with darker cars...and if you try to increase the brightness, a lot of the details fade and the color looks mucky. Keep practicing and you'll get better at coloring.

As for rims...
A little easier... (http://www.photoshopjunkie.com/tutorials/rim/index.htm)

I generally don't select part of the tire. This is all just playing around with transformations.

Lol, yeah. It took awhile and a lot of playing but it worked out. This shit is addicting. Look what else I did, i kept messing up cause i was on the wrong layer so i redid it quick when i was on the right layer because i was gettin pissed off. This is what I did when I was away not lookin at the thread. Lol.

Clone stamp...define a spot by holding alt and clicking the area you want to clone. After that...paint over it.

That's not a good explanation...clone stamp is sort of hard to explain.
