interesed in getting a chevelle or malibu but wanted to know what you guys thought a good started muscle car would be. i really like the GSx's too anything with that body style is cool to me also what is a good price to look for so i know if im being overcharged or not i see chevelles for around 6k in autotrader sometimes but never knew if that was too much or too little and i should be worried about engine probs. later

nova's are cheaper than chevelles and have relatively the same look....the motor thing is completely different with each car you see but if you find one and would like someone who has some experience with old cars ill go with you

Yea a chevelle would be a great car...and if the car is running and doesn't need complete restoration $6k would not be a bad price...I have owned several muscle cars and we still have many in the family if you have any questions...if you wanted a good project car I know where a 72 Nova SS is that has the title with it and is a true SS and would make a great car to restore...if you buy a nova or chevelle buy 72 or earlier as those are the money cars and whats easy to buy parts for.

$2500 a buddy of mine has the car...he has had it for a while and just can't afford to do much with it...it needs a good bit of work but with it being a real ss car with floor shift its worth some green...

Mopar A-Body is where its at. They are reasonably priced and the best part is that its not a chevy. I have a 72 Plymouth Duster and I love it. I just go a 360 thats going to go in it.

Yea I'm sure I could...as to the thing about mopars...I work at Year One...so I see everyday whats available and whats hard to get and come across...the mopar is just more expensive and some of the things are harder to come across than GM stuff...Chevy is really to find stuff but even the buick's and pontiac parts can be hard to find sometimes...I like the mopars...I love roadrunners, cuda's and challengers...but for something you can buy and build resonably priced chevy's are the way to go!!!...

Yo, I was gonna vote a-body mopar myself, not heavily priced like the e-body and it's a fun group of cars. My dads got a 70 Dart Swinger he might be parting with in the next six months or so. But mopars are an awesome first muscle car. :goodjob:

^ clean Chevelle,I had a hugger orange one, you should start lookin in peoples back yards or take a drive thru the country then when you see something your interested in, stop and talk to the people, they might just want it gone or will sell it for a reasonable price..............or you can just hunt thru the Atlanta advertiser :goodjob:
