Does any one know how to measure vehicle height? If so the ndoes anyone have a 93 accord at factory height? How high is it? I just got pulled over by Cobb County and he said my car was too low, but I have a hard time believing that cause I have seen vehicle a lot lower than mine. I KNOW that I was being profiled because of my car.

Sorry, I can't help you with the proper hight or measurement points. I'm amased that you got pulled for ride hight. From your sig & avitar, your car doesn't look low. That cop must have a hard-on for imports. I've read the code. It alloes for 2" up or down from stock. Did you get a ticket?
You might try going to a Honda dealer & get a curtisy inspection. Maybe they could document your ride hight.
Good luck

He did have it out for imports. He asked me all kinds of questions like, and I qoute"Do you hang out with other tuners? Areas like Chastain Meadows? NO! Why not." I only got a warning but he said that if he saw me like a month later and my car had not been raised then he would ticket me on every little thing he could. Does Honda do those things for free?

I don't know. Let me call my brother....
I left him a measage. He's good about returning calls. He works at a Honda Dealer so he'd be a good guy to ask. When I talk to him, I'll let you know what he says.

YO, the Cobb County Police that pulled me over on Barrett/Barrett Lakes last Friday asked me the same things but for the Wal-Mart over there, which I was really going there to shop.
This cop told me that they're trying to find someone that ran away from the Police last week & will give as many tickets as they can till someone gives info, so he started asking me how low my car was & gave me shit about my tinted tail lights & then gave me a "Very Loud Exhaust" ticket ..

PM me his badge number, it may be the same cop. Is height, not ride height, but height is measured from the heighst point in the car right, cause mt car was sloped from the factory, if so then my car has only been lowered about and inch.

Not taking sides but i dont think the cop was "profiling" a four door accord...maybe something else that you were doing if he was that concerned with your drop and nothing else....
and BTW, how did you not spell height right in the title but did everywhere else lol

and BTW, how did you not spell height right in the title but did everywhere else lol I have slight dislexia, honestly. All I was doing was turning right on to 41 from 92. My friend in his stock 240 was behind me and I wasnt even up to speed limit when he pulled me over. He came from across the intersection at me. Also, not to be mean cause you werent there and I understand where your coming from(thats why I bought a 4 door to try and not be profiled), but he came me with an attitude like I was some scumbag driving a(in his eyes) piece of shit. I mean I am pretty sure my car is only dropped and inch to and inch and a half.

I did and they had the overall height at 54.? and that is the high point and my high point now is like 53.? So I am pretty sure that I am ok, but I am going to have an inspection done so I can have documentation is case the Jackass wants to pull me over again. Not a bad idea though.:D :D :goodjob:

i beleive and i might be wrong the ride height of the car is measured from the center of the headlights....

I e-mailed my brother a link to this thread. He was a little over run @ work yesterday.
Even if he is unable to get back to us on this, I'd still go buy a dealer & ask about getting them to inspect it.

thats ironic cus i've been pulled over so many times and the officer didn't mention anything about the vehicle being to low. Last time i checked, anything lower than two inches can get you a ticket. I'm pretty sure they're more picky about the exhausts.

yup i was following him and i thought that i was going to be the one pulled over. but he picked my friend because of his ride height and i think his rims let the cop think that there were more modifications.

It has nothing to do with headlights or bumper height. As mentioned above a car can not legally be raised or lowered more than 2" from factory settings. If you have Eibach 1.7" lowering springs it's legal, if you have (for example) Intrax 2.5" drop springs it's illegal.
Unless they happen to have the exact same car next to you they cannot tell the differance, there is no referance chart for wheel gap or anything like that. It's just harassment, simply ask to speak to their supervisor when they say something like that and they will tell you to have a nice day. :2cents:

I've done that and gotten locked up also. Just be clean and professional - no matter what.
There is a law about bumper height, and another about headlight height, but if you are using a standard Eibach spring, you are going to be well within those limits. If he tickets you, take the ticket quietly, then go after him in court. Prove your innocence, and then go after his badge. I have been successful in getting several bad cops fired and run out of the law enforcement industry by simply being professional and knowing the law. It won't help to argue with an idiot.
ask him to let you run him over and if he doest get stuck under it then the car is not to low hahahhaha
i got a 4 inch drop

I am pretty sure m ycar has some ebay drop springs but they are all they way up so it should only be like a 1.75 inch drop, but like I really care anyway, I am more worried about my camber. I am sawpping with a buddy of mine who has factorys until I can get a camber kit, unless you guys know of anyone who has a kit for a 93 accord for CHEAP.
