Varsity Alternate MEET! (Friday 3/2/07)

I always put this up around the time of the varsity meets, and this time better weather! It is supposed to rain on Thursday (the regular Varsity meet), and hopefully the idiots will stay there.

For those that dont already know, this is an alternate to going to the V meet. Act like adults (the best that some of you kids can) when entering and leaving the area. Last thing we need, is someone screwing this place up for us (even though that will probably happen anyways).


The address is

2537 Piedmont Rd NE
Atlanta, GA 30324-3006

That address is to the Best Buy location. That is NOT where you are going. Across the street is an abandoned Home Depot parking lot. This lot is about twice as large as the varsity lot, so if we expand in meet size, this place should accomodate easily. I dont think the cops are an issue since the lot is abandoned and there are no adjacent stores connected to the lot.

MEET TIME: 7PM- Whenever

If you have any questions feel free to lemme know.



1. Meet address is above, but the actual meet spot is across the street in the abandoned Home Depot Lot.

2. Location is only about 5-10 minutes away from the downtown varsity.

3. Meet time is 7pm till whenever just like the regular varsity meet.

4. If for some odd ass reason we get kicked out or whatever, the varsity is only a short drive away.

The main complaints about alternate varsity meets, were location. Everyone says the Varsity is fairly in the middle. However, anywhere nearby is a sure fire way of getting kicked out, especially if you have lots of people. Im certainly open for someone coming up with a different place, but finding something that is doable is hard.

Just came from over there. Just me and a dude with a cleeeeaaaaannn s2000. The directions were a little misleading...that abandoned lot is across from the best buy but it's off sidney marcus blvd. Right behind the QT.

I spent like 40 mins looking on piedmont rd...the best buy is up in the back of a shopping plaza on the corner or piedmont and sidney marcus. The new home depot is there too...so its not exactly on piedmont rd...

Anyways I saw no less than 15 cars driving up and down piedmon tryin to find the place. Met a couple cool folks too while I was lost. It is a great spot for meets tho. Guess we can try it again next month?

I ended up metting with about 10-12 other cars who were just wandering around looking.

We had our own little meet, but had to leave after a riced DA and a stock (With the drive-out tag still on it) Civic decided to race across the parking lot.
