well 8 is when it starts but i got early to check in and get a tour of the Rec. Center which is bad ass cuz they have a damn videogame arcade and pool tables...but that its a whole bunch of boring stuff but all ended at 4:30 if that...PS: I Advise taking an FLC your first semester which they will stress like mofo but it looked hella easy so i Signed up for the Introduction to Business Finance FLC(Freshman Learning Community). The FLCs basically give the schedule that you will have for the first semester and is centered around a theme.

ohh btw i am majoring in Accounting...going for a CPA.

I'm going to GA State in the fall, transferring from Gainesville College in Athens. I'll be at Incept on Thursday, July 7th.

Anyone a CIS major at State?

Not CIS but comp sci which is kinda close, but im rethinking that major after looking at the current situation in the it world.

I am still enrolled but not currently going, I'm a comp sci major (sr) but I switched to part-time back in '01 and haven't finished.

I was smart and got out and got real work place experience back then, all my friends that stuck around and graduated for the most part don't have good paying jobs or even jobs in the IT industry.

haha freshman are funny...just pickin on ya man...INCEPT sucks butt...your there the whole day and its pretty much stupid...I advice you to NOT join an FLC...everyone i knew that joined an FLC hated it and that it was the dumbest ever...i agreed...i was never in one and would never do one...and if you like soccer...they play on fridays up on the top level of the Rec. center around noon...

FLC = Freshmen Learning Community...basically you do all your classes together as a group for the first semester...its said to be helpful in setting a good GPA for the first semester but i dont know some oppose it and some dont...its just preference i believe.

That sounds ridiculous. Sounds like some baby high school thing- college you should be meeting people and if you unable to get good GPA or whatever on your own with your own motivation then maybe you shouldnt be in it. Nobody will be there to hold your hand...

ironchef: naw you dont need anything at incept except for your ID and money if you are going to buy anything.
Heather: Yea I was but I found out that my father's bosses are paying for me to go to GA State so I'm going where i pay the least or none...but I'll probably be down there on the weekends anyway if im not here and if there is anything to do down there on the weekends because I already got my schedule and teachers names and all that.

You also need to make sure you registered on your GoSolar account. I think it was $15.00 a person or something. You can pay online or by check (I think).

yea GoSOLAR is great because you have an e-mail with GSU and some teachers will send you homework over your e-mail account on GoSOLAR.

Wow, I just got back from the transfer Incept. Overall it was alright, it was only the tour around the student lounge and its surrounding buildings. I really wished they would have shown some classrooms and other buildings scattered around downtown.
