i'm into hardcore and all of that heavier rock so i see people at shows with them all the time. so i'm not biased here, if you leave gauged in long enough you're gonna have permenant damage unless you feel like having surgery and doing some cutting in your ear lobe.

I thought about gauging my ears with a pretty small gauge a couple years ago but then never cared enough to follow through with it. I like most moderate sized gauges but I think the overly large ones are stupid looking.
I say earrings are pretty gay, I love girls with a lot of ear piercings but for a guy its just caring too much about how you look. :gay:

i got 4 holes in each ear including both tops but i don't wear earings anymore. i grrew up! i had my eyebrow pierced too but took it out for professional reasons. sometimes i tell people my belly button is pierced just to see their reactions. lol i'm more into tattoos than piercings. my friend is crazy into that shit he's got his neck, wrist,industrial, eyebrow, tongue, lip, nose(center) and he want's to get a prince albert(told him he's stupid would never let anything sharp near my dick) when we go out anywhere girls always like that shit for some reason even girls you wouldnt think would be into it. i don't need piercings to get girls i use my ability to buy alvohol for minors. lol

I used to have slightly larger than .5" holes, then I woke up and took them out and got a real job. It would be painful to push anything larger than a 12g through them now.

I don't see anything wrong with piercings as long is it is one in both ears and not too crazy... I'd rather see none at all than those big fake diamonds or whatever... guaged kinda freaks me out a little when they are big enough to fit a ricer's exhaust pipe through it. I have always thought eyebrow piercings were pretty sexy depending on who they are on - same with tattoos... I like them in moderation... I personally don't think I will ever get one... but I think a few on a guy are ok - til they get to be about 70 and wrinkly.

My real set of diamonds i only wear on occasion like weddings or formal parties. My first set of earings that i got were a $500 14karat 1/2 ct from hellzberg diamonds....Yeah i lost those in panama city on the beach being a drunkass.

I lose just about every pair of earrings i get somehow so whenever i go out drinking or to parties i put the fake ones in in fear of losing another real set...not a good feeling.

I've always had 2 earrings. I had 2 when guys were "supposed" to wear 1. Funny how society loox at things - the 3 gay guys that I know have no piercings or tats, yet "society" will label a guy w/ 1 earring as "suspect". LOL. I think it's all what you wanna do - live your life for society and you will have a fucked up life. I have a very professional job, and I have always interviewed w/ diamonds in - small, conservative, REAL. You're not likely to lose the job b/c of that - not in this day and age where everything from cars to phones to shoes is personlaized to make a statement. In the last 5 years at least $2000 in earrings has ended up at the water treatment plant via my shower. To each his own. Some kats (like me) can pull off a pink and blue Abercrombie shirt and make it work - but I can also pull off corn rows and a jersey. Do what you feel - do what makes you feel good. Just be AWARE of how society may potentially view you. If you have no skills, you can't afford to wear a short sleeve shirt to a business meeting if you have the entire 1998 Playboy Calendar Girls posted on your 4arms... so it's all relative I guess. I got

* tongue ring (you'd never know it unless I told you)
* 1 tat that you'll never see unless you're sucking me off (LOL). It says "Lucky You" on my right thigh, right next to ummm... well... you get the idea.
