would an incorrect gap on a spark plug cause anything like this?

R3RUN
02-23-2007, 05:27 PM
Maybe a grounding issue?

Ignore some of my half assed ness. Ran into some issues and did what I could to not have my car down.

This should help ur plug wiring. The rest..I'm not sure of.

DOHC? Cam gears should pos them for you... look at them really close. TDC on the crank and level with the cam gears. I dunno though... that's how one of my buddy's cars was.. I can't remember if it was single or double.. I was always drinkin when we worked on his pos car.
Maybe you could rub them and a magical George Bush would pop out and grant you the right to go home. Or keep you there for a few more years.

is the motor an interfering or non if it is interfering u better have the timing belt and cams lined up right or u will bend your valves there are marks on the cams. u need a shop manual to do this stuff next time so u wont run into these problems.

this is what i've got.....

but when i line up the notches facing eachother the last to valves on the intake side are being pushed down.

Killer

so i think my valves could be bent from trying to start the car last night with out the timing being set right... i've got the set of valves out of the b18a1 will those work in the b18b head? if so.. i don't have them in order as they were can i still put them in and just do a valve job when i get the cash to?

please help... i'm screwed if i don't get this finished up soon.

don't know about that one but I do know to use clay to check for the correct depth before you put it all back together for good. Turn it over by hand just enough for the valves to leave an imprint. If it breaks through the clay, adjust your depth.

omg... you have people who know less than nothing giving your suggestions.

put the PINS in the cams that lock them at TDC. Check the crank and make sure it's at TDC

Then put the spark plug wires on right (the distributor has markings for 1234 and the order of 1,2,3,4 on the head is #1 is closest to the crank pulley (driver's side) and #4 is closest to the distributor (passenger side).

If you need more help, just lmk - I can't believe you listened to the crap posted earlier.....!

omg i totally missed seeing that.

if you believed that post, then well... i hate to say it but you deserve to have your motor blow the fuck up out of pure ignorance and stupidity.

1,3,4,2 is correct like randomguy posted.

i would tell you to get your ass over to www.honda-tech.com (http://www.honda-tech.com) where there is at least a little bit of knowledge but... well you'd probably get clowned off that board with the quickness.....
