what is the best motor swap for a ef hatchback .Was thinking about a h23 but my friend said thats to much power for the light car and it may mess up the chassis so i was wondering. what is the best motor for the car for the best power.

Depends on your goals for the car, and how much cash you want to spend :goodjob: But either way an H23 would be a BAD choice

H22s are EXPENSIVE swap to do in EFs.

you would be better off doing a B16 and then doing a GSR block later on down the road

I'm with Mr. Kidd, the B16 is the best motor for your dollar. It leaves the door open to alot more options on down the road. :goodjob:

b16 is my favorite motor! go smack your friend right in the face for sayiing that the h23 would have soo much power it would twist your frame!haha thats stupid. don't take advice from retards. my friend had a fully built b20/vtec ef with a 75 shot and he was spanking evo's. ef's a light but ugly chassis. sorry i don't like old school. g/l

Hey Bro in My book I would put ( if You don't have one already) a d16a6 in it BUT!!! put d16a1 Pistons in it Hear Me out.

You use a d16a6 Block/Head/and Head Gasket (0.0480000 in. Thickness)
Now Stock the d16a6 makes about 115hp and has a Conpression Ratio of 9.109391693661235 a.k.a. 9.2.1
But put the d16a1 Pistons in and BOOM!!! 11.346143017512087 again a.k.a. 11.3.1
See the d16a6 (PM6) Piston has a -3.40 Displacement where the d16a1 a.k.a. ZC (PM7) Piston has a +7.2
So You see the Bore is the same in both Motors but just the right Piston can make that 115hp in a 1/4 mile hang with or beat a b16.

Well I hope it helps You out Bro and good luck on whatever You go with. :goodjob:

Also the Piston/Rings and Pins only run about $263.oo give or take so it's also the Cheaper way to go aswell.
If You want to know anything else just send Me a PM.
Well Take Care Bro.

haha wrong car shit ass... that the american version...i'm not at home right now or i would point out some shit to you

im kind of curious as to how you are coming up with this shit. its funny how the 05-06 is rated at 210 hp and the 02-04 is rated at 200 hp for the US RSX. and 152 IS the correct torque rating for the type r, 206 Nm is a metric measurement. Don't go spewing numbers like you know something.

go with the H23.. or you can go with the 92-95 H22A. they are amazing motors! lots of power for cheap! and they weigh a good bit so the frontend will hold alittle better than alot of people might think! I had a h22a4 in my EG and that shit was quick! I was busting the balls of GSR hatches all day long! go with the H series! but i think the h22 might have a hydro tranny and your EF requires the cable shit... so it would be cheaper going with the b16... no just ignore me... LOL!:goodjob:
