Need to borrow a Windows XP Home SP1 CD ASAP!!! Anyone?

computer is fucked and when i got it the damn cd was lost. I just got a new serial number from MS so i can re-install it on my computer I just need to find someone around here who will let me borrow a cd to boot from. Right now all i get is a please insert boot disk error screen in dos mode. I am just going to re-format my HD and start from scratch. anyone got a CD i could borrow for a day or so? I am in the snellville, lawrenceville are. THANKS

Unless you specifically NEED something that is Windows-only, why not go Linux? Also, MS Product #s are exclusive to CDs. Meaning, you have to use the Serial # that came w/ the CD. I found that out the hard way.

you sure? I have used many different cd's to install windows. I have done this one too many times.

also the only reason i am going to do windows is because the computer will be for sale once i get it going and most people want a windows computer so...
