I'll probably be doing this as a grip driver. I don't have any dori dori friends, so I guess I'll just get matched up with someone? I'm sure there's more people who want to drift than grip given the state of things lately.

Rhoad Racing

Sure... you can register strictly as a grip driver and IF you aren't able to find a teammate we'll pair you with one. OR... we'll try our best to let you decide from a list of Drift drivers.

It's not as small as it looks, and is more than enough room to have fun with.

Chris my question to you is this; Being as I work for Drift411 now, as a "photographic correspondent", do I still need to submit a media application for events hosted by Drift411 (in a sense the organization that I'll be there shooting for)

If can get my car back on the road before then (and it's looking less and less likely, to be feasible) I'd like to be signed in my car. If that's not possible I'll still need to be put down as a driver, as I'll probably be doing laps in Harrison and Junius's Corolla's.

"Moreno's Restaurant has been confirmed to cater the event. They will be providing hotdogs, hamburgers, coke, cinimmon roles, coffee, etc throughout the day. Staff, VIP and media receive a 50% discount."

damn, 50% off, that's great news.

I went and practiced some time attacks there a couple of weeks ago. It was fun. Sure the course has it tight places but I personally think this is going to be a very successful event.

can I get a "discount" since I paid $60 for a previous event last year and couldn't make it and the idea of credit (or partial) towards a future event was thrown into the mix? lol long shot I know.

No Sir, you don't have to submit another. Matter fact, if I can get around to it prior to this event, all official Drift411 Media Personnel will have permanent media credentials.

As long as you sign up as a driver/team mate, you can use whatever car you want. That includes borrowing Harrison's or Junius'. However, once you choose a vehicle, you have to stick with that vehicle for the duration of the comp(s).

There's a good chance, we'll have a different vendor for this particular event. But media will still receive 50% off.

I don't see how thats possible considering our very first event was only a month ago.
Chances are, you are referring to a SEDA event (which is who I used to worked for/with last year). If thats the case, then you will have to use that credit (or partial) at a SEDA event. This is a Drift411 event.

02-27-2007, 12:16 AM

Not to my knowledge.
I would say checkout the BHC Calender (http://www.blackhillscircuit.com/calendar/month.php?year=2007&month=03), but it doesn't look like its been updated in quit some time.

Supposedly we have a C6 vette coming out. Other than that, it'll be a nice mix of everything.

I do a good bit of autocrossing and a number of the folks I do that with are interested in the grip side of the event. I can probably come up with at least 10 grip drivers but before I do, is there any certainty there will be that many drift drivers looking for a partner?

Certainty?.... afraid not.
If you have that many grip drivers, I would suggest asking around on the different forums in regards to drift teammates.

50+ years.
Up until a year old, it was rarely used. Once a month... if that.

more grip drivers than drift O.o. That simply shows we need more events at RA, TGP and Roebling.

iffy situation for me but I may be competing in grip rwd comp ... depends on if my car is tuned properly and the fenders are rolled for the volks by then lol.

Its ok if you see the wires as long as the copper itself isn't exposed. So that shouldn't be a problem.

The structure and format of this event is getting a lot of praise, however, few are registering. At this rate, if we don't receive at least 10 more teams by Tuesday (March 20th), we will have no choice but to cancel this event.

In order to prevent that from happening, we are willing to accept down payments which hold your/your team's spot.
If you would like to hold your or your teams spot, please send 50% of your preferred payment (see original post for price break down) to [email protected].
The remaining balance will be due Thursday March 22nd at midnight

Trust me, if you can drift, the rain doesn't slow you down a damn bit.

I've been there twice in the rain and several times in the dry, This place is a blast straight up either way.

Im still trying to get a car running... .I'll update you (Chris) if i get one to drive.

bhc does not have any high speed drifting areas. it's so tight you can't really leave 2nd gear.

§treet_§peed
03-20-2007, 07:40 PM
^^ ok.. but i thought certain regulations would prevent the event happening if the weather didn't permit... i mean i know you can do it in the rain practice anyways.. iused to go with a few freinds Moe (NoPainT on here) and a few others to some warehouses when it rained so they could practice on a few angles
