I just came home from the ER and been there 4 hours. My buddy/co-worker wrecked my bike tonight (2-11-07) and it is completely gone. It was one of the scariest moments I have ever witnessed. Watching your buddy get flung doing 60+ nailing 3 curbs and having the helmet fly off will make you think twice about riding. So as of now I will no longer get back on another bike. To those that are still riding, please be safe, wear your gear, and make sure you have some type of insurance. I will post pictures later of the bike. To those who are curious of what kind of shape my buddy is in. He has major road rash through out his body, dislocated his toe, knee is in bad shape and swollen and bruised. Other than that he is doing well and will be alright. THANK GOD there were no other injuries. So ride safe everyone.

hate to hear about the get-off, but was your buddy an experienced sportbike rider???

sounds like minor injuries, get up and ride again......accidents happen......don't give up on the machines due to user error....

hey, keep riding and learn from your mistakes.. just because you wreck a car, are you never gonna drive again. also, was he an experienced rider... by what i saw that was a 600RR... key words RR. thats a real fast bike. i hope that your friend has a quick recovery and that he'll be back up in no time. ill pray for a speedy recovery for him tonite. atleast it seems like he was one of the smart ones that wear leathers and protective clothing... i see people driving down the road in shorts and sandles on bikes and its really gonna hurt when they lay it down. "Theres only two types of riders; the ones who have gone down, and the ones who are going to go down"... someone told me that one day... ive gone down and have rash all down my back and elbows.

Were you trying to teach DP how to ride again?

Sorry to hear about your buddy. I hope he is ok.

How did the accident happen?

And was your friend an experienced rider?
