I got a $50.00 parking ticket after explicitly being told that parking wasn't checked after 5:00 Pm and on weekends...:2up:

I'm not happy...but at least I had a good time while my car was illegally parked.

uh first off, only certain zones aren't enforced after 5pm and on wkends. second of all, if his car is registered on campus he can't just not pay it, shows up on ur student acct and he won't get grades and shit until he takes care of it. tech parking nazis ftl.

Whoa whoa...they just have my plate number. I don't have a parking permit and that car is rarely ever (probably never again) staying on campus.

They won't believe that it flew off...it was under the wiper blade, and it was pretty snug, and who would take a parking ticket?

I was parked on Bobby Dodd right next to the Glenn Residence Hall.

Dammit man...this is my first violation of any sort. The only night I have a car on campus, I get ticketed. My friend has had his car without a pass all year and he's cleverly avoided everything...

So what's my situation...pay or no pay?

dont feel bad. my girl went there too (CE) and i was there visiting one night and i came back to my parking spot and my car was gone.....thought some FOO had stole it.....so i went to check with the police and after being told the SAME THING AS YOU from a fellow grad, those assholes had towed my shit....

My car got towed there a few years ago too. $160 to get it back. Fuck parking on campus.

After 6:00 I would suggest parking in peters parking deck, I have parked there a few times without getting a ticket.

 u never told me this, why'd it get towed?

JennB

There was some event or something going on and they towed a huge line of cars. I was crashing overnight at my friend Kristen's dorm and we came out in the morning and my car was gone and there were barrier things across all the parking spaces. There were NO signs the night before, we had no clue.

Even if you don't pay it now, they'll probably just add it to your registration fees for next semester. That's what GPC did to me with my $20 ticket.

ShooterMcGavin

negatory, if u don't have ur car registered on campus they don't track u down to determine who u are :goodjob:

To clarify some stuff. Any of the R lots (WR, ER) are enforced 24/7. Any of the E or W lots are only M-F 8-5. Most of the meters are 24/7 although there are some around campus that are only M-F 8-5. If you never register your license plate with them to get a parking permit than you'll never hear about the ticket again. I used to keep my old car on campus for most of my freshmen year illegally bouncing back and forth between the student center lot and parking meters (now they lock the student center deck at night so you cant just wait for the attendant to leave and then leave the lot).

I dont know what lot you were in exactly since I've never lived or parked on East Campus.

doesn't matter man, they don't take the time/effort/money to track u down. now if u ever did register that car on campus then they might try to get u to pay. but when i went there my gf at the time got no less than 4 tickets that she never paid :goodjob:

No they will immediately add the tickets to your acct. I had some tickets on my old truck, then got the WRX and got a parking permit. One day when the WRX was broken I was using the same permit in the truck (parents still kept it) and got a ticket at a parking meter then BAM all of the old tickets were on the account too.

I am a student here, but the car isn't registered...and it's my dad's anyway, so I don't think I'll be bringing it back.

Hah, nice...I guess I saved myself $50.

Yeah, without a parking pass tied to the vehicle, you're golden.
