i dont see the problem with it. i got mine already swapped with a built ls/vtec runs great.just watch out you dont buy a wiring nightmare i got one like that before.if you dont know much about engine swapped cars bring someone along who does before you buy one.

just depends if youre racing all the time. i got a b16a in my car and its fine to drive through town all the time but if you race all the time you have a bigger chance of breakin little things and then you wont have anything to drivin while its gettin serviced.

if its done right and not dogged out it should be just as reliable as in the original car

Think of it this way. The engine that is swapped into the car came from another car stock. So, it won't be any more or less reliable as a swap. When you look at how much swaps cost and include labor and troubleshooting, I think it's a great idea. I would make absolutely sure that the work is top notch and that there are no bugs to be worked out. Try to take someone with you that's familiar with the swap that will know what to look for. Good luck! :)

my daily driver is a swapped car, no problems, a little tuning sometimes.

if the person you bought it from had it done right and trusts it enough to drive everyday himself, then its perfectly fine. Most engine swaps go without a hitch and the owner is 100% happy.

swapped cars are good because most of the time you get more power then regular motors as long as you make sure the swap is done right

Good advice. I'd hate swapping in a motor with less power.

IMO. If your not racing or semi race and u want a daily driver dont buy a car that already has a swap. There might be a little more maintainence to keep up with. Buy a stock and mod it yourself. If not always check the spark plug. That will tell u everthing.

man it kinda depends on the swap... I would think a EK with a B-series swap would be more reliable and streetable than a EK with a K20A2 swap... simply because the EK was never meant to run a K series. It was made to readily accept the B series though. It all depends on the type of swap and who did the swap.
