Industry Accountants here?

Anybody else here work in accounting? I work in public accounting and I am thinking of making the switch to industry. Anyone else made the change? How do you like industry?

I've worked in private accounting for about 3 years and I think that I would like it better than public... I have not had any public accounting experience though except being interviewed for a position... with your title I'm assuming you are already a CPA... If I had the time I would do my 5 years in private but just to get my license I would do 2 years in public then switch to private... I like the role of a controller... I worked in receivables, payables, and did some biling when I did private...

but the controller has more duties but i believe it'll be simple if you did auditing in public.... were u in tax, audit, or forensic?

I've worked in audit and tax. I am about to submit my application to GSU for the PhD program. We'll see how that goes.
