What happened to the thread about a free dyno day for the grand opening of PerformanceEmissions? I guess it was a bogus thread :???:

The performanceemissions place has a 4wheel dyno. Mainstream cant compete with that...

Its a dyno run for free. Why not?

because if jessus himself offered a free dyno run i wouldnt let him touch my car without showing me he knows more than lugnuts.

mainstream for me, i dont think ill trust an emissions place for any more than emissions.

its just a dyno. Its not like they are gonna tune my car. I just dont see what the problem is...

I'm pretty sure they don't have a four wheel drive dyno...

but you can just google SpeedEmissions, call up one of their stations and ask which one has the performance dyno. Most likely, they'll be able to tell you.

I went by there since it waas right around the corner.

They have know Idea how to use a dyno what so ever.
I got three pulls
1st one didn't read the RPM's
2nd one didn't read the TQ for some odd reason
3rd one did ok but there is no way stock S14 puts down what there dyno said.

but it did read a 1/4 so I got a good guess as to what it may run stock.
1/4-15.1
reaction time- 0.644sec
not to bad considering my clutch was slipping the whole time.

but all in all it was kinda fun.

yeah like I said in the original thread... it was probably my fault it got locked/deleted because I am a competitor and told all of you that taking your car to them would be a waste of time.

They're emissions inspectors. They're not tuners, nor most likely do they really give two shits about performance.

So working assumption would be that if you want accurate readings, you're going to want to go to a performance shop, and not use a place that doesn't know about performance.
