A buddy of mine recently got sucked into that bullshit iCommerce "Get Rich Quick" scam that has been really popular around the metro atlanta area. It kinda died out for a year or so and it suddenly showed up again.

The problem is that he believes the bullshit hook line and sinker. Its completely obvious that its a scam, but he cant see that.

He is about to change his lifestyle because he thinks he can make $3000 a month doing this. How would you go about convincing him that its a scam?

For those who dont know about the iCommerce scam, its the pyramid scam where they tell you to "change your buying habits and start buying things wholesale straight from the disributor". Whereas this is actually true, you will be buying things wholesale, but you will never be selling products, and you will never actually be handling money.

Your income is dependent on how many people you get to sign up below you. (hence, pyramid scam).

Say My friend recruits me and another person, and we each go and recruit two of our friends, and each of our two friends recruits two more friends, the person at the top of the pyramid will be making money off of 14 people buying products from iCommerce's "exclusive wholesale website".

And because of all his hard work, the person right above my friend will have an additional 14 person income increase.

I was doing some research, and there is an 81% chance of losing money before making money doing this. Only the people WAY up on the top of the pyramid are making anywhere NEAR $3000 a month.

Anyways, i cant find a way to convince him that he is going to get shafted unless he comes to his senses. He's planning on quitting his job over this bullshit.....

Sometimes you have to let people make thier own decisions and live with the consequences. I tried to warn my brother about Primerica and he wouldnt listen. It took him losing about a grand before he finally saw it for what it was.

The more you try to force him to see it for what it is, the more he will become defensive about it, and the less he will listen to your opinion on it. You tried, let it go at that.

Yup , same shit...

Quixtar = Amway...

http://www.the-team.biz/

This is a "legal" pyramid.
Until the goverment stops this shit, they will continue to pull this off.

Amway got sued years ago and lost big time... and got shutdown or something like this by the goverment...
So they change there name to quixtar and came up with a legal way of pulling this shit off..... By selling products to the person that they sign up...
So by selling "something" to the person that signs up under them, they call pull this shit off. Is legally not RIPPING them off from there money.

Some fucked up bullshit..... Loophole around the damn law....... :(
