just replace all bearings since you have it apart(and seals) rings, stock motor all honda seals /bearings. .

it's white smoke and it uses about a quart of oil every 100 miles

your rings are shot then...if your redoing rod bearings, dont be a cheap ass and just do rings...theyre under $100 a set

lol 450 into a otherwise stock D is steep...get jdm zc pistons and call it a day

not real sure...honda-tech.com is your friend but the article was actually in honda tuning not too long ago and it bumped compression nicely and they put 1200 or so (if i recall correctly) and put down more wheel power than a b16

uhm white smoke isn't an oil problem sounds like headgasket problem. white smoke is water, blue oil ,black fuel

Actually, if I remember right, white smoke equals coolant system problem

No white smoke can be either oil, coolant, and fuel.

well it's getting a new head gasket, rings, and im gonna flush the fluids... oil, trans, cooolant, etc... hopefully i will have all my problems worked out with doing all that... also gonna check into a local machine shop making me some rods because just replacing one is kinda stupid and cost 142.49 from the dealership no else around here carries rods....i think i can get the local shop to make them for 80-100 out of stainless steel, but what material should i use... stainless seams kinda overboard....any suggestions

i just read the creators last post but one would assume that if hes replacing pistons, he wouldnt be reusing the headgasket anyway...kind of common sense:goodjob:

I'd check to make sure the the head is flat too. Just incase it might need decked. If one rod is bent you should check them all as well too. I had one bent in my D16y7. I at first got one new rod. When I compared the new one to the rest, I had 2 others that were bent. Ended up replacing all 4. I'm sure it was a more sound decision in the long run.
