This is about California legislation being passed to exterminate pit bulls. If it passes in California, it could be on it's way to anywhere. Someone has to try to make a difference...what if it were your pet?

I was just saying the thread is Gay because it has been sent to me in emails over and over, and has been a Myspace Bulletin over and over. One of my friends has one and its a good pup, but its just not my type of dog. I love dogs a lot, but this type of breed has too many horror stories about them.

any dog breed to fight is gonna have a bad rep.. yes, they are powerful dogs... but if it can be bred to fight.. they can be re bred to not fight...

lyric is a crazy little pup, playful, loving... he does like to chew on ur fingers some but not in a "i'm gonna kill u" kinda way... he's only six months old, and things my change.. but it's all in how u raise the dog.

and a pit is one of the most beautiful dogs out there... the muscle structure, the differnt colors they come in....

i've never had anything but compliments about my dog... and more than one person has tried to buy him based on looks alone...



i do agree that seeing this thread/email/bulletin gets to be old...

but to just say oh well, let them die.. that's a bit ridiculous.. so what if it's "not ur type of dog" i personally think small dogs are stupid, shih tzu's, chiuaua's(spl), york terriors.... anything like them.. but i wouldn't want to see them killed...

and if u say chiuaua's aren't vicious then ur crazy...

i agree, the pit CAN be raised not to fight. although when many people get one, all they think is 'lets make a badass dog' and kick it around and shit so it grows up like that. and really its not the pit bulls fault, its because the owners fuck it up. although there is never going to be a law 'exterminate all pit bull owners' so this is the next best thing some people can think of.

No one knows when/if a dog, any breed, will turn and attack anyone. It is called nature. It happens. Perfect training or not. You're dog may never harm a fly in it's entire life. But, in that same breath, he may attack 3 people tomorrow and kill them. Training does not determine a dog's natural instinct. Don't get me wrong, it helps. A lot, I know. But it is NEVER, NEVER definite. And anyone who thinks otherwise, seriously, is ignorant as hail. Later, QD.

I'm a dog lover too and am not sure what should be done but I've heard so many horror stories... I mean hell, a few weeks ago one of those dogs attacked my neighbors dog (which was on a leash) while he was simply walking it though the neighborhood...

but like u said and i was pointing out, ANY dog has the capabilities of attacking at any time. just as any animal does cept maybe a goldfish...

mine is just a pup, but i'm doing everything i can to make him learn that other dogs/people/animals are ok. when he barks at noises, other dogs he hears he gets scolded... i want him to learn that he's not allowed to be aggresive toward another animal. i know it's him being territorial and protective but pits have that rep, and i don't want it to happen with mine.

it's crazy how fine of a line it is though.... lyric (my pup) loves to play rough... so i play rough with him.. but the more i keep thinking about it, i think i should stop... i think he's gonna grow out of it though.. he is still just a pup.
