Dear JULIO,

Until April 30, your HSBC Direct Online Savings Account gives New Money 6.00% APY*. So if you have money elsewhere, it’s time to move it. You’ll make the most of your savings and be that much more secure.

During the New Money promotion, deposits from outside of HSBC earn a market-leading 6.00% APY*. That’s 11 times what traditional savings accounts offer.** And checking accounts obviously can’t compare.

With HSBC Direct you can be better prepared for whatever may come up on your horizon. Log on to move your money into your HSBC Direct account now, and earn 6.00% APY* for as many days as you can until April 30.

So, its 6% a month or a year or what? I was/am always kind of confused when it comes to HSBC and ING direct about their whole 5-6% savings deal.

HSBC > INGDIRECT... I have an ING account also... But HSBC is paying better right now... Regular 5.5 % and ING is like 4.75 % I think...

Anyways.. If you have Dough.. switch it over... to get some of that 6% interest ;)

with HSBC i heard you have to do a minimum 25 dollar monthly deposit or transfer from your primary bank account. now i also know that my bank of america savings account was the same way unless i maintained a savings account balance of $300.00.... but im curious is it the same way at HSBC? once you hit a minimum account balance do you still have to do the minimum 25 dollar transfer?
