Your gonna need about 18gs for it. Dont forget tax tag title and $600 transportaion fee to the dealership. they never include that when your pricing it online.

Ha well, i was gonna make a huge post about that day. Ended up I took the car off the trailor, he took for a test drive came back, got his title, put his car on the trailor and went our seperate ways. About 3 minutes later he called me, stupidly I answered, ended up the coolant line burst going to the turbos and he could no long drive it. So went back to meet him, long story short we argued about got my ass beat (thank god girlfriend was there, not b/c she is big, because he felt bad) and I got give him his fucking car back. But might be getting it back soon, just need to fix the coolant line and talk to mike and getting the driveshaft rebalanced cause that mofo shakes like michael j. fox and he said he would drive all the way up to me and trade.

Its not a GTI, its a Rabbit. Its not entirely slow though, it has a 2.5l inline 5 with 150hp.

why the hell would u get a rabbit?

be patient and save for something that is actually good, not bc it is marginally better then your current car.

koukis, im still laughing at that phrase too haha
complete horse that a VW is the best car you can buy.

Hondas, Acuras, Lexus, Toyota are prob some of the best cars you can buy for reliability regardless of the class or price tag, you will be getting the best bang for your buck on those brands reliability wise

OneSlow5pt0

i didnt say it was the BEST car,but one of the best for gas milage and they are pretty reliable,id take a rabbit before i took any kind of honda

one the rabbits are hideous

i had a honda before hand and i strongly dislike the company as a whole
but they sell hundreds of cars and second to Lexus they are the most reliable company out there.

JDM Power and Associates #'s show that in this order these are the best cars.

1. Lexus
2. Honda
3. Toyota
4. Acura

if you're on a budget then i would no doubt get a honda, civics look way better then any rabbit and are easy on the gas

Looks better than most cars, and I like it better than the GTI's bodywork. Oh and there is a problem with who your quoting.

I want a Rabbit because I want a Rabbit. I don't like the looks of the GTI, nor do I need to go that fast. :D

Yeah I was wondering why it would take 30+ posts for someone to say that. Thats worse than a Viper. Hell its worse than my WRX which has the aerodynamics of a brick.

150hp in a car with a lot of drag would suck.

Never EVER buy a car the first year it comes out as a new model or redesigned model. The 04 Tourag s a perfect example of this. Those things are the biggests peices of shit VW ever churned out.....well that and anything with the first of the 1.8t. What surprised me at first is the new GTI with the DSG is bullitproof but then I found the DSG has been in cars over in Germany for a few years. Or you could just get a real sports car like.......a used 300zx twin turbo. Low miles you can pick one up for 15-20K and thats LOW miles.

I'm not even talking about going WOT, its just nice to have plenty of power on tap for merging onto the interstate or scooting around in traffic.

lol at 'real sports car like a 300ZX'-3800lbs of terrible handling with an engine that cant make decent HP numbers.

With different wheels and no roof rack that would be a good daily car.

THANK YOU! First person who gets the idea. I don't care about driving fast! All I care about is that it is a VW, it handles well, looks good in my opinion, and it has a good stereo. I don't need nor want to drag race, drift, or race on a track. The most I will ever do is autocross, and I don't even do that much. My Jetta only has 95whp give or take a few, and I have absolutely no problem accelerating in traffic, so the Rabbit should be fine.
The base wheels are on the one I want because I would get nice aftermarket wheels and save the stock ones for winter. I do need the rack because I carry my bike to school with me to ride around campus.

They might be the best cars to buy, but when you need some shit done to your SC, which I have, you try to find a cheap price. It's not happening. Honda= really cheap to fix, probably the pretty much same for most Acuras. VW: still a horrible car to have, expensive to maintain, ugly, slow, gay, made for chicks. But whatever, atleast they probably get good gas milage?????????:idb:

Whateve. I will take a VW over a honda any day. Take a look at my GTI's interior and you will see the difference between a Honda and a VW.

Oh and VW's are horrible car's to have, high maintenance costs? Interesting, because I have had my GTI for 2 1/2 years and the only unscheduled maintenance I have done is clean the throttle body and replace a sensor. That's less than $200, wow that's expensive.

that was based on reliability though and i agree with your stance on VW

if price is an issue i'd go with a honda/acura/toyota

I like the looks of the Rabbit and with 150HP on tap, seems like it has enough pep to keep itself going around town without getting someone into trouble. I gotta agree that I'm not a fan of the roofrack but if you're using it for your bike, then more power to you. Good luck getting your hands on one. :goodjob:
