Ive just finished installing one of these things and my check engine light is now on and car is running like crap. I wont rev over 3000 rpm and it spits when it almost get to that..Also im not sure if im useing a hot wire or a flap type ecu setup that could be a big part of the problem. I did the initial setup and all went well until i cranked it to set the settings and all these problems started.. Ive run out of ideas/knowledge if anyone has any ideas or needs more info let me know..

Thanks:eek:

Take it to someone who knows what they are doing and have it tuned on a dyno. If you don't, your wasting your money.

its a 92 240sx se and the reason it hasnt seen the dyno yet is because im getting some oil lines made for the turbo now then once its all together it will be tuned. but now i just need it to run good enough to get me to the dyno... So hot wire or flap?

Hot wire. You need to go to the ETC menu and select sensor type. Then select hot wire and put the in/out on 5. I am assuming you still have the KA24 motor.

yes im still using the ka24 would that setting affect my check engine light? and also on the neo do i need to turn off and restart the car every time i change a setting? Do i need to leave the sensor at single/single on the next screen also?

you are definately having a maf problem. you probably messed up the wiring for the maf input and output. that's really the only wire you end up cutting, the others you just tap into. you probably mixed up the yellow and white wire, like instead of the wire from the sensor going to the input on the safc and the end of the maf signal wire from the ecu going to the output wire of the safc you probably just have em backwards. double check yourself, also double check the 2 ground wires and make sure they're on the same wire but the one closest to the ecu is correct and the other a couple inches down is correct. it's definately a HOT Wire sensor type, but you can go on apexi's website and see what your input/output number needs to be depending on what car your maf sensor is for and what engine/ecu you're running. you should be 6 in and 6 out if you're running the the KA maf sensor or SR maf sensor with a KA computer or an SR computer, if you're running a z32 maf then you need to be 2 in and 6 out still HOT Wire, i'm assuming you're running an sr20,but you need to tell us what motor/ecu's in your 92 240sx. good luck :goodjob:

im running a ka..Im just going to slap the turbo and all on and have it towed to mainstream and let them solder all the connections and redo it all.. Im a bit fire prone. And they can just tune it while its there.

ka should be 6 in 6 out then 1 and 1. the neo is powered by ignition power, so when your key's off or in accessory it won't be on , when your car is running it'll be on. i just wired one in last night lol tell apexi WTF no knock sensor signal yet you give me a worthless illumination wire you don't even have to wire in.....

when your car won't rev past 3 grand it's the frickin maf. either you wired the safc2 yellow and white wires in backwards, or you didn't make it 6 in 6 out

Let us know if you get it worked out or you need to come by. This is copied directly from the Apexi website. I think you need to make sure you are on Hot Wire 5/5.

lol, i'd like to correct myself if a ka is a hw-5, i didn't see any info on a ka so i was going with past experience of "ka and sr mafs are interchangeable" so if an sr wants hw-6, then ka should also.

i did the neo in that red s14 you tuned this morning that made 264 rwhp, he told me you said the same thing i told him about the stock maf and not being safe past ~265 lol that was right on the money, i had his boost controller turned all the way down and the thing still spiked to 16-15psi hehe
