it was a blast. the heat was bad and caused lots of heat related failures both auto and human, but everyone still had fun.

the cage is an autopower bolt in setup, 6 point w/doorbars. install done by me, working solo in my driveway. it's a bit of a bitch to wiggle the main hoop in alone and get everything squeezed in, but it fits well for a bolt in cage IMO.

thanks... the track was a fun setup. hopefully more pics will be up soon and lots of video. there were people all around like the girl you can see in the first pic with the camcorder on the tripod, it just seems everyone's still trying to weed through the pics to get them up.

i just really want a picture of me and andy sapp doing tandem, that was the most fun all day.

no kidding...

I was hoping someone got a few decent pictures of the Corolla while I was driving but apparently there were none worth snapping. ( AE's done have enough power to make the photogenic smoke trail everyone loves :*( )

Kapil is editing the video from this event, and I'm doing another specifically focusing on myself and Harrison and our runs, and any progression we made in "driving ability".

That was a fun event. HiPSI took me on a ride and I was watching his throttle, steering, clutch, and steering inputs; it felt like I was watching the in-car camera of a rally race. At one point, I could sware that I saw him steering with his left foot, but maybe I was just confused with his Matrix-like movements from one pedal to the next.

lol, yeah there's a lot going on... i try to use the best technique in every situation so half the time i'm holding in the clutch/pulling the ebrake/countersteering/braking and throttling all at basically the same time ;). it's like twister with a steering wheel and pedals :D.

yeah they did the same thing the kumho's did when you were in there with me, the smoke came up in my peripheral vision as i was rounding turn 2 and kinda hung there until the exit of the turn.

thanks :). this was my 6th time drifting, hopefully there will be some semi-local competitions this year because i really want to start running tandem to get more used to it. me and andy sapp only got to run one tandem run and then they made us stop for insurance reasons even though the two FB rx7's had done it all morning and nobody said a word to them about insurance??? that was by far the highlight of my day because i hadn't done it before and i was fairly comfortable with it.

btw... did i meet you at all throughout the day? just wondering because i met so many new people and i'm horrible with names :(.

again thanks for the compliments, next SEDA event come find me and i'd be glad to take you for some ridealong laps :)
