Power will come from a 3.7-liter version of Nissan's VQ powerplant. A pair of turbochargers will help it produce about 450 bhp and 360 lb.-ft. of torque. :thinking: I'd like to see some lap times or something before making judgement and, possibly, an @ss out of myself.

As for styling, the only things I don't like are the frumpy center grill and the way the backend kind of goes all jagged looking.

It actually looks about the same to me. Different spoiler, mirror, and rims. Everything else looks the same to me. Maybe it's just the color? :dunno:

The entire front end is different, look at the "teeth" on the bumper and those plastic vents under the lights, even the lights are different.

Check my post above for a comparo.Both pictures have the "teeth" in the bottom if you look closely. Just the first one has them black instead of color matched to the car. I actually think the bigger vents under the headlights look better than the dinky little ones on the prototype. Finally, the headlight design is relatively the same. They just changed the interior light placement a little bit.

There are a few vids from the Nur. ring of the concept. It is going against the 911 Turbo in one of the vids and they are neck and neck in the vid...when I find it again I will post it. The 911 has always been Nissan's arch rival for the GTR.

The GTR is only a competitor for the 911 Turbo from Nissan's point of view. A guy isn't going to walk into a Porsche dealer looking to buy a 911 Turbo, and then say "You know what, I'd rather have the Nissan."

i agree with fcman, but let me drop some more knowledge on you anyway. i own a 911, it doesnt have a floor or an engine, but i own it, its mine. i also own an s14 that is much nicer than the 911 and its stupid fast. now listen to this, "hi my name is bryan. i own an s14 with an rb25 (skyline motor). its a pretty rare car and its pretty fast too. can i buy you a drink?" or "hi my name is bryan. i own a porsche 911. if you could leave your underwear at the bar and meet in the bathroom in oh 5min thatd be great."

people buy gtrs and claim to be performance enthusiasts, real enthusiasts know you would have been better off buying a used corvette and spending the money you saved on strippers, beer, and upgrades (in that order).
