The short version is:

A 3 yrd old girl was acting like a brat and refused to sit down in the seat. Spineless parents just tried "reasoning" with the child to come out from underneath the seat and sit down. Plane can't pull away from the terminal until ALL passengers are seated and belted per FAA regs. This goes on for 15 mins. Meanwhile the flight is being delayed while the parents still try to "reason" with the brat to come out and sit down. She won't. Flight attendants tell child and parents they have to get off. They refund their money and give them free tickets for a later date.

They go on Good Morning America with "child expert" who says that's "normal 3 yrd behavior" and therefore Airtran was wrong to ask them to get off.

Air tran did NOTHING wrong.. parents should have pulled(ie forcefully) the kid from under the seat, and sat her down in the chair, and then wore her butt out when they got to teh destinitaion

HAHA.. Part of my job deals with loading troops on a civilian aircraft, and sometimes we have extra seats for families to fly back to the states.. I know if that shit happen to me, Id yell at the kid and yank them up by the arm, strap them in, slap them then tell everyone to have a nice flight...


Leisa, what did you do with AirTran? I am thinking of working for the civilian airlines when I get out. Basically I have all the training from working the ticket counter to security to ground teams, any advice? Thanx.
