Which version PS do you have? Later, QD.

On PS6, I open my pic up in it and then click on LAYER, then DUPLICATE LAYER. Just clik OK. You don't need to worry about the name. After you get your duplicate layer, Hold down SHIFT and CONTROL and press the letter U. It will remove all color from the pic. Then select the eraser tool and erase what you want to be in the original color. Later, QD.

You can use the Replace Color tool, or the Selective Color tool to do that. Look under Image > Adjustments > Replace/Selective Color. I'm sure there is other ways to do it but I'm not too sure.

no sorry I got that part but it wont work... everytime I click on the color I want it..it'll be like painting over the whole picture..instead off seeing spokes and stuff.

Kinda like this...

Hue adjustments

Also, use the selection tools to change only what you want changed

Yellow is the original color, green one is crappy but you get the idea.

i want the wheels to stay the same but I wanted to play with the color of the car..but what I was trying to say was I can do the original color except his front bumper is off so I was trying to do something about it. Oh gyea, and how do you add the black borders around your pictures? like what nemisis does in most of his pictures.

The border is easy, make sure the background layer is your current layer, click Image then Canvas Size...make sure you change inches to pixels and relative is checked then put in 5, 10, 15, 20, etc...you can do a paint fill on the background to change the color.

viola, hue adjustments. Crappy job, but if you get the selections closer, it will work better. I just did it in 2 sec to show you the changing color.

hahhaah...but was it easy matching up the paint? If you can..tell me how did you do that..Im new..so Im trying to learn as much as I can.

Here's what I did.

1. Use selection tools to select the area you want to change

2. Use Image -> Adjustments -> Hue/Saturation. Where it says Master, change to the color you are changing and move the bars to get around the color you want.

3. Keep area selected and go to Image -> Adjustments -> Match Color and move those bars to get desired color.

Examples.

You can also:

Make a new layer or the car>image>adjustments>variations.

Then crop out what doesnt need to be that color unless you crop the whole car then all you have to do it the windows etc.

Hope it helps
