i was wondering if anyone owning a 1999-2000 civic si has had a problem with the car shaking when you hit 50 and suddenly just stop shaking once you hit 60...just trying to figure what is causing this because it is very annoying...any help will be thankful...

Tires bad, bad alignment, or bad balance. Just go to a firestone and tell them you want a lifetime of alignments. It's like 90$, but you've got unlimited visits. As someone who's done much work to their car...you can take full advantage of this... :lmao: Can't even count how much I've been there for that.

eeeeeeewwwwww youre naaasssssstyyy ...lol....

i would definately go with the alignment or tire wear. i know i have pretty bad camber wear on my tires and when i hit 80 the car starts to shake a bit

alignment will cause the car to wander left or right not shake......unless you have some super noticable serious toe out. tires are just out of balance. the reason you need to balance tires after they've already been balanced before is because the tire over time spins on the rim. therefore the rubber's not lined up with the rim in the same place

check into your axles/cv joints as well. I'm having the same issue in my TL and we have a few members on acurazine with the problem as well. A few of them have replaced their axles and the problem went away. Is it just under acceleration or when you let off the gas too?

Also any misalignment in the suspension that goes unattended can cause the tires to cup and such. So dont wait too long or you will shake no matter what :D
