I have seen posts of skater meeting up so I think the 20"-26" guys should meet up at the track and have a nice ride. I am about to start racing again for A.B.A. I am wanting to get some guys/girls together to have a riding session sometime. I can get the gates unlocked at Noonday Park were there pretty good jumps. I am not sure how many riders are on the site because I have only seen one other one selling his Felt bike. We do not care if you are still learning just show up. I would post a date but I have learned you have to give the track 2-3 days after it rains because it is a really bad ride if the track is bad. I just wanted to see how many guys wanted to do this. The park is on Hawkins Store Road off Canton Road and the back entrance is Shallowford Road. If you would like to ride and set something up let me know because we have to wait till the track clears. I may go out tomorrow to ride so we might be able to do this tomorrow. Let me know guys... This is my old car parked at the track but this is the only pic I have left... I had to format my computer so this is a half shot of the track and the 3rd and 4th straights

Not tomorrow, but i'm in for any other time. I've several times over ridden my bicycle up to noonday to ride. Being as i'm new here and have nothing else to do. I'm about a 5 minute pedal from there.
When i first got here, I was looking at places to ride MX. Since i found this forum, I dont think that i've once checked into motocross. Sad thing is...I raced pro class and i've basically walked/driven away from it lol

There's a few shots from Vertigo Skate Park in Boardman Ohio. About 3 weeks before I moved here lol--Oh yeah, i ride a DK 4 Pack
I used to bmx. Nothing big just made jumps and did kicker ramps. I have a pretty custom bike (bmx), a k2 pick, and a real old schoold 80's dyno I was fixing up.

Man if only you would have posted this about 10 years ago. I would love to come out and do some 360 backflips like I used to do back in the days of me and my Dyno Slammer. Well ok I only pulled it off one time.
I miss the day of crazy street riding and flatland freestyle. Tell you what, I will rebuild the Delorean with dual flux-capacitor and get back into the swing of things, and then I will post another reply to this thread.

After you cross back over I-575 Noonday Park will be on your right. The track is on the left after you enter the park.
(NOTE: The address is Hawkins Store Road. However, there is no way of getting to the track from the Hawkins Store Road entrance. You must use the Shallowford Road entrance to gain access to the track.)

Is your car that white Supra? Wouldn't that be better for turbo timing?
Im guessing you are refering to the for sale thread! Well Im sorry that I had to list everthing that was done to the car, and how it runs in that thread. I guess it would have been better to just title the thread..."Supra For sale"
and put my number...huh?
Im just giving some of the ones in this thread a hard time because they have to brag about how good they are. Why not just say "hey I use to ride all the time, I would be in for meeting up" But its more like "I was doing 900's before Matt Hoffman was riding!! and yeah thats a lil exageration to

Mirra is good, no reason to act like he is not! Just like Bubba stuart is a geek, but he is amazing on a bike!

Bubba is INSANE on a dirtbike!! I can honestly say i beat him..
for 2 corners at Pleasure Valley Raceway in PA. This was back when I was in the B class. They ran 125 A and B on the same gate. After he got by me..i hung with him through the next section, then he walked away and never looked back. It was deffinetely a good feeling then. It just means so much more to me now lol.

Bubba isnt real decent on his starts, and usually struggles on the first lap, but then explodes after that. I could prolly take him on the holeshot with my fiddy.

We're talking two totally different realms here. I wont argue that he struggles his starts one bit. My contest is that I then was in the Intermediate class, on the amateur level. Bubba then had already made huge showings along with wins at his pro speed. His slow starts, as compared to my FAST starts at the level I was at then, were incredibly fast. Now, I know I would have no trouble smoking him off the line. I'm currently working on my chance to do so as well.
Next season I'll be racing the BooKoo series on a 250 to get my Pro Liscense. I know i'm giong to get smoked at SX haha, but I dont care. Ya lose, ya learn..Then ya go faster!
Motocross is by far my biggest passion. I had hoped to come into more of a motocross community when I got here. I've come to realize MX riders are few and far between round here :( :( Oh'well!!
Cause you live in the city or close to, its hard to find riders there. I live in North Ga, so its pretty big up here... Everyone rides, maybe not good but they do ride. I have been on a break for a few years, cause my parents couldnt take seeing me hurt anymore, it didnt bother me, but it did them. I bought the car I have now to keep my mind off of riding but it doesnt work. Im ready to get back on a bike now, but I dont know how that will end up! I got on one of my buddies bikes at calhoun sx and rode and was happy at how I rode for not being on a bike for 2 years.
What do you ride? Got any photos of yourself....dont worry, I asked to see them so your not bragging!

KEWL. I raced for 12 years, up to Pro class. (cruiser when I quit) I did NBL, back then the ABA wasnt in GA. I even won state champ in mid 90s...cant recall now. I quit when I broke my back 9 years ago, but will be starting again in a few years when my son can begin racing as well. Has anyone seen any dirt jumps in Gwinnett. I know of some crazy ones in Grayson, but I wont post on the forum since that'd be uncool to the locals to get bombarded.

These following pics are on my YZ 125, 134 big bore. MX Tech Suspension ASV Unbreakable levers. Nothing to fancy. The pics are from Crow Canyon Raceway in Urichsville Ohio. its the 2005 LLQ Area Qualifier in 125 A Pro Sport. Ran a solid 6-6 among a close to full gate of 4 strokes. Including the likes of Zach Ames (AX Champion) who finshed 7th o/a. I had a baddd run of luck at my regional, and didnt make LL :( lol but here's the shots there's only a couple.

The name sounds Familiar. I"m not 100% though on it. Hell I just cant wait to get working so i can get my bike back together and get back on some dirt (or clay in this case) Probably first pay i get i'll fix it. All i need is a crank, piston, rings, and head. My head was cut so far that when it finally scattered it broke the dome lol. My motor's been done by several different people, offering this, and offering that for nothing. I got what I paid for. From here on out, i'll never let anyone touch my motors again. Unless i come up with a factory ride of some sort. But i doubt thats going to happen either lol
Here is a couple of me a few years ago, nothing special. This was a Friends bike, and I have always been against RM's but that bike was perfect....(for me)

Now days a bone stock 450 is so strong, a rider is the difference. (Always was, but some bikes were faster than others) You can easily get in above your head on one of those. Are you still racing, or playing regularly, if so we have a 13 acre track, private owned, (better than most tracks) we'll have to get you out on w/ us. Its in Walton Co just outside loganville/monroe. We have ppl coming 2 hrs away to ride it over the track 2 miles away in Monroe.

I have no clue when my bikes going to be back on the track. I'd LOVE to be riding right now. I have no clue where your talking about about that track. I've only been here about a month and almost a week haha.
Allstar3.8T
02-06-2007, 03:13 PM
Yeah, No one knows about the track, Its a private one, a local guy built for his kids. Its sick. Hollah at me when you get on a bike again, its well worth the drive. I'll get pics some time and post them up. 13 acres, giant jumps, tractors on site, and regularly refaced, and recut turns.
jmmx258
02-06-2007, 03:21 PM
I'm not much for fresh groomed tracks. I love a good hardcore rutted corner, with some multi rutted faces haha. I'm all about getting faster. A rough worn in track is one of the best ways. Thats one thing i'll miss from back home. I used to ride all winter in the snow for practice lol
How far is that place from Kennesaw? I'm near exit 273 on 75, about 5 mins from it. Do you have AIM by chance?
Allstar3.8T
02-06-2007, 04:18 PM
No, I nislead you, we reface jumps to keep the lips maintained, and recut turns so pegs do scrub, the actual track surface is turned over with a track hoe I think its callled.... like 20 angled plates and blades cutting 4"-6" down. You cant bike on it, its pretty rough, but all the local pros that have ridden it say its exactly what is needed to be fast. Beats me, I am a retired BMXer! :)
jmmx258
02-06-2007, 04:36 PM
Ohh I got ya. Freshly groomed. thats always nice. But if you ever notice at nationals and stuff, that the track is so deteriorated by the end of the race program? Thats why i like a shit track. Helps to get you ready for whats to come. The tracks always start off freshly groomed. By the time its time for you to go and race, if your not one of the first comple of moto's, the track's bascially whooped. I always love to prepare for the worst, and expect the best. Anybody who can ride decent, can ride a nice groomed track. Those who can jump into whats already there, ruts, off cambers, breaking bumps, all the imperfections, are the guys who are going to come out on top.
ya feel? lol
