Whats the best GPS system thats out currently thats cheap as in up to the 400$ range? I was looking at the Tom Tom thing and it seems like its really good and in my budget. I will be driving to Settle, Washington and then catching a Ferrie to Victoria island, BC. I Just want to get a GPS system that can help me get there. :D

Garmin 2610 or 2620, and get a 2g CF memory card!

Hands down the best for the price. $500 we have a few that are used always!

I would def check ebay once you decide which one you want.
This weekend I found Garmon handhelds that retail around $400 for around $160 end bid price.

Ok first off, TOMtom is nice BUT a little complicated to use at first. Now here are some questions. ( I was #1 in sales for gps 6months straight out of 60 stores) Do you need bluetooth? Meaning if your phone has it then your phone can sync up to it and you can make calls thru ur gps. Don you need text to speech? When yu make a right do you wnat it say make a right on main st OR make a right in 100ft? Do you need multi destination. Meaning would you like to type up to 22 different addys in and it routes you to one by one.
