*HELP* How does BailBonds Work??

okay to make the long story short.. i got caught doing some hwy runs with some folks and the oink oink clocked me in @ 119mph and so on.. got locked up and the bail was 1600 .. and i made a phone call and asked sista for a loan .. she came with the loan . but she also came with the bondsman.. so ??? I thought that was how this shit works but he didn't take the money? whys that? i paid for the paper work 190 something.. and he just told me to make sure i go to court? but ofcourse i'm going i'm not gangster enuff to skip it especially when my sista is on the line.. so i'm just wondering are my tickets & fees going to be ontop of the 1600........??

The bondsman's company basically puts their money up as bail for you to get outta jail. If you show up a court, they get to keep their money. If not, they forfeit the money to the state/county unless their is a legitimate reason for you not showing or your arrested by a certain date. They make their money by charging you a fee or % of the bail. Long story short you don't show up, dog comes and gets you :) oh and stop racing on the streets...
