And Teins aren't all that great either. You're much, much better off spending the money on GC and Koni yellows. Teins aren't really designed with American roads in mind. Our roads are far crappier than those in Japan and thus the spring rates and damping rates tend to give a much more harsh ride.

Another option that has less adjustability, but is still pretty high quality would be something like the Koni SPSS (I think) valved yellows and Neuspeed spring combo.

IMO, coilovers are over kill on a car that isn't going to see time on a road course or autocross course. You don't need that degree of adjustability for daily driving.

They look better, they're easier to work on, etc. And technically they do stop better than drums, but let's be honest here. From a pure performance standpoint, the slight gain in braking power is offset by the added unsprung weight. I'm not ashamed to say that the rear discs are on my car primarily for the visual enhancement.

If I was building a race car (and I actually plan to as my next project), I would use the aluminum drums from a 1st gen HF, paired with some more aggressive brake shoes. :D

I agree with ya 100%. The conversion is gay. I would only import a car because of the models and options we didn't received (CTRs, SiRs, ITRs, glassroofs, automatic targa tops...), but rhd would be the last reason for me to import a car.

You got few people that may give you a run for your money at a strip (green91, slow_hatch, Disco Monkey, & Kevin). If everything goes as planned, I'll join the the list with the hatch once I build this spare single cam. :goodjob:

I always been a boost hater, but after Jeff introduced me to boost I been kinda intrigued :D . Then when JDMJAY got the swap from ya, he gave me the old d15 so I'm going to play around with that. I been toying with the "forge rods with vitara piston" idea for a minute (Which I hear can hold up to 400hp. That would be perfect for my goal 250-275hp). Plus, I been pricing everything I need to build the bottom end, and it's less than $500 :D . So I may be able to pull it off less than $1200.

How is your fuel economy with the boosted single?

Check out a guy on homemadeturbo and honda-tech named FJT, hes got a KILLER deal on custom i-beam rods for the usdm d15b that gives you normal compression with the vitara pistons and are cheaper than eagles.

Oh yeah, dont take it to hard when your boosted d15b2 pos dx motor is quicker than your b16 :ninja:

Those were the rods I was going to get (I guess I'm off to a good start) :goodjob: I believe they are a tab above $200 which is a steal!

I'm not going to have to worry about the hatch being faster than the rex for too long. The main reason for getting that hatch was to have a nice beater while the rex goes under the knife. So once the hatch get done, the CRX goes missing for a few months. :ninja:

The goal with the hatch is a quick, reliable turbo single cam DD that looks nice. Stuff like the suspension is going to passed down to the hatch from the rex. So in the str8line, more than likely the hatch going to be faster, but on the track the crx should be quicker. :goodjob:

The June 21st night event looks nifty. I went to a night event that Highlands Sports Car Club ran and it was a lot of fun.

If I weren't broke as a joke, I might try to make it down.

Soloatlanta events are really very well run. The courses flow fairly well and are technical enough to be challenging without being frustrating.

rust on the rear driver side door, all the bolts under the hood are rusted. it's very aparent that it's a northern car, and carfax affirms that. but, it does have extremely low miles for the year, legit, but i'm sure it needs a nice tune up.

however, it's a used car, so thats all going to be a given. for the price, it seems like a good deal.

Let's just say I signed up with Navy Fed about 20minutes ago, and I'm running my credit report and getting ready to shut down Fort Sill.

Also, so everyone knows, I'm looking into getting Recruiter's assistance, so I just may get a little extra time home so I can actually see the crew before I leave for NC. However...when I'm done in NC, I'll be in Pensacola, FL, so I'll be able to come up on weekends, tap into the auto scene down there, and maybe some crew will be interested in representin' down there. I'll also DEFINITELY be in Auburn while stationed in Pensacola cuz it's only like an hour away, and the chicks at Auburn are rated #2 College Campus for females by Playboy, if I remember right, plus a buddy has a house there.
