Just an update, I gotta give props to blaknoize for picking my up from the Dayton airport and bringing me down to Cincinnati Ohio on friday. I arrived safely in a ghettotel, and I leave tomorrow afternoon for Detroit, MI. I left all my confederate flags at the house for this trip, LoL.

Anyways, it's funny, I came up here on vacation...so far Jermaine has talked to me about 3 times today, and called I don't know how many times about his current project. When I arrive, I also have two brake jobs scheduled, LoL. It seems my "getting out of the game" is a no-go...LoL I don't know what my homies will do without me while I'm at Parris Island... BTW, I'm also trying to get an extended return home in June when I come back. The EF Squad had BETTER have something going on for my return... But when I come home, I'm allowed 10days before I leave for North Carolina...but I'm going to attempt Recruiter's Assistant which can get me up to an additional 20days at home...

Also, be advised...I still have the EF Hatch carpet for sale and the CRx seats that will fit in a hatch, as well. I need rid of both of them in the few days I'm home. I'm looking for 300 for the seats and probably 175 for the carpet (plus all the clips and stuff) and I will be considering any offers...

Anyways, don't know when I'll be back on, so I just wanted to touch base with everyone. :)

Man, EFF this state.

Flew into Philly last night. Good f*cking god, I will NEVER fly through Philly, again. F*cked up my entire connecting flight, I ended up putting up on the floors in the airport for the night until the next flight I could hop, the airport shut down, and there was NOTHING to do, and the few bars I made it to BEFORE they locked the gates were ALL sold out of anything decent to drink. Airport didn't even offer any assistance with anything. Finally got to Detroit this morning, and it's ridiculously cold (13degrees). I leave for Phoenix friday...

On a good note, I get my last paycheck from work tomorrow, and I'm looking at a rifle to purchase. :)

EF people will never have a huge meet because of the mentality that EF people don't come to meets. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy. Everyone says, "I'm not going to the EF meet, nobody shows up" and that's exactly what happens.

But when everyone gets together in Gainesville and my car is roadworthy (and I've got time) i usually come out. I've been to several meets in the Gainesville area in the last year or so

Well, I have to disagree with that one. I never try to exclude anyone (when I'm at a meet). I talk to everyone there and try to get them participate with the rest of the group. It's really up to the person if they want to get down or just be an outsider.


The very 1st EF meet was the only meet that was "in" Atlanta and that was going on 3 years ago. Since I form the Squad, all the other meets were somewhere else [Marettia (dinner meets), Powder Springs (dyno meet), Roswell (applebee's meet), and the mountains(just about every other meet)].

Also, the meets are planned months in advanced, so everyone can make arrangements. Everyone says they are down but when that weekend comes people forget, get sick, go out of town, complain about gas, complain about locations, or complain about what's going on. The worst part of that is we have multiple threads about dates, locations, and events trying to best accommodate every.That's the main reason why I stop going out of my way to plan the meets.

You got to think about it, everyone was in separate booths and tables not by choice. Applebee's wasn't expecting a group our size. So it's kind of difficult to go around and be "social" when you are separated from the start, plus about to eat. Also, most of the people there didn't know each other or only met like once. So everyone was sitting among strangers (besides the KevinT707 groups that came late).


Me personally, I only knew one person at my table (scotsmans) and still manage to have a good time, and I tried to talk to everyone there. If I could remember, you didn't meet up with us before we went to Applebee's. There everyone was having a good time checking out everyone's car and socializing. So honestly I don't know what you are talking about

I was at the Applebee's meet. I didn't know a single person, except dare, and that was ONLY on the net. Well, I might have known one or two more through the net, but I didn't KNOW anyone. Just had one or two posts worth of a conversation. I didn't even bring my car out because it was in the works of getting something done. I came to that, and didn't have THAT good of a time, but I came out to the next one...now I'm known just about throughout the squad, and I come to every meet I can, and have even planned on myself to see how good of a job I could do at coordinating.

I think dare's put more than his share of effort in...and it'd be nice to see others put HALF the effort in to just DRIVE to the event as dare, myself, and a couple other have put in to plan out the meet, call the places and check for info, get the dates, rally the people, and then drive to the meet.

I'm not pissed at you, dare, or anyone in the squad...I'm just saying dare's point is valid.

I've been virtual car shopping...but I've decided it'd probably be wise on my decision to spend alot of time in before taking my first leave (being about a year) and in the mean time have my money sitting where it will inflate as opposed to purchasing a car on my first trip home where the car won't be driven much, and my investment will deflate. But I figure let the money grow, and then check my accounts when I come home and probably buy the next toy in cash, or a HUGE down payment on it. And when I say huge...you should see the car I'm looking at...

Two are cars that are semi-costly...but will inflate which is perfect because the car will mostly sit til I come home. :)
