LeMans350z - Totaled my car

[Rogue350z]

On my way to the bodyshop on January 2 someone pulled out in front of me and took out the front of the car. Other guy's fault. Z is totaled.

The worst part is that on the way to the bodyshop after the accident the car was on a flat bed tow truck and the car broke lose falling off the tow truck taking our the rear of the car as well. The car fell off from about 5 feet in the air.

Looks Like I will be starting again. I am waiting on the settlement from my insurance company. I am going to let them go after the guy and the tow truck company. I hope to have it resolved by the end of this week.

I had made so much progress with the car this year getting my first mag cover and placing well at HIN, DUB, and NOPI. Damn shame. Second time I have totaled a Z. I guess the thrid time will have to be the charm.

Oh yeah, I am ok. Few nicks and bruises, but I am fine.

it's only a Z.. j/k.. at least you didn't race one of my buddy with his Z and lost control and hit the curb with both wheels.. dude said it was 10k just to fix not including his rims..

Thanks everyone. We are making plans for a new car. I have had a few weeks to get used to the idea. I am very active in the Nissan community so we will be sticking with a Z.

I had gone through great lengths this past year to protect the car and still lost it. Sometimes it is meant to be. We get to start with a blank canvas now.

I am not waiting for 08 GTR. I will build another car and sell it in 09 or 10 and get a GTR then.

Talked with insurance today and they are going to pay me what I had it insured for which it way way over what just the car is worth.

If you have a highly modded car and receipts talk to your insurance rep and increase your coverage like I did.

Good question. Anyway the new car is ordered should be here soon. Body kit is on the way. Hopefully the new car will be up and running by June.
