XBOX (not 360) live

im about to get an XBOX, and im wondering (never had a game system online) how it works. i have cable internet running into the house. how do i hook the XBOX up to it. and how much is it monthly, and where/how do i pay that. and do they have any 12 month subscription cards like they do for the 360?

Xbox live is the same no matter which xbox you have; still $50 for a year. Hook the Xbox to your router, like you would your computers

so, am i going to have to run a wire from wherever my computer is to my XBOX? and how do i pay the 50 dollars for the year of XBOX live? is there a website?

You could buy a wireless adapter and you wouldn't have to run a cable to the router, and you can either buy a 12-month subscription card or set it up so that it just automatically charges your credit card every year.
