So I picked up my GSR from the rice shop today. With the wing, vinyls, and lowering kit I should have about 300 hp at the rear wheels.

I guess you would since a CRX is one fourth the price of a GSR.... I hope you realize that the newest CRX you can find is 16 years old. Probably as old as you. Its so old it probably came with a 8 track player. When the CRX's were made, vanilla ice and MC hammer were cool.

Dont be so condescending, ive been in this game for a long time and i assure you i know about the prices of a gsr and the ages of a crx. Just because youve got a old GSR doesnt mean your shit doesnt stink. Plus i guess i seem to have forgotten that old cars = suck. Oh wait, that isnt true. Dumbass.

hey I'm not the dumbass here... how exactly is the CRX a better car than a GSR? Also, I have 3 other cars than my Integra. It is just a project car and something that gets 30 mpg so I can keep the mileage low on my nice cars. Look at the cars I have listed for sale on here in the last 8 months. A 2000 Prelude completely JDM'ed out and a 2003 Acura CL-S 6 speed. I sold the prelude for $13k and gave the acura away for $15k. I didn't say that a GSR is the greatest shit ever, I just said it was better than a CRX. A ten year old integra is a big difference from a 16 year old or older CRX. Old cars do suck. I know, I've had them. they are old technology. Look at the CRX. The factory setup is for shit. no power, shitty suspension, OBD 0 bullshit, and the list goes on forever. To make it worth a shit you have to spend twice or three times what the car is worth. All you have to do to a GSR is basic bolt ons, maybe some cams and a IM, and a Hondata s200 unit to control everything. For less than $2000 you would have plenty of power and no loss in reliability that you will have in a car that has had a engine swap and other shit. With a CRX you will have to spend $2000 just to swap the engine to something worth modding. Then after mods, you will have a car that is worth maybe $2500 and you will have $5000+ in it.

I dont even own a CRX but ive got several cars myself, one of them is my 91 turbo civic which is also my project car. I just sold a swapped 240sx and still have an 07 tacoma and a 00 ranger. Youre using faulty logic, my civic is swapped and was turbo until very recently and i drove it from dahlonega to duluth daily for over a year, with absolutely no reliablity problems, obd0 and all. Your argument about a swap is kinda stupid considering the difference in price between a GSR and LS of the same year. CRX and EF civic both handle incredibly well and have a distinct weight advantage over a GSR. Not to mention with your bolt ons and s200 and your only into the 14s if your lucky. Personally i have never tried to value my mods to be less than the value of a the car. Ive done modifications for a purpose.

Who the fuck do you think you are bitch? You think that because a GSR is more expensive than a CRX that its automatically better? I tell you what, how much did you spend for that pile of shit? I bet I have less money in my CRX and it will run circles around that stock garbage in any competition you wanna throw at it.
BTW: I have that and another project car that is even older, and I drive a significantly newer SUV daily. Fuck you, and fuck your car. Go wrap it around a tree you ignorant fuck.

No I said GSR's have more stock potential than a CRX. I guess you forgot to read the whole first page of this thread. I never said it was better because it cost more. I am not the ignorant one here. You obviously missed the whole point of this arguement. My point was that my Car is newer, has way less miles, and has better technology (stock) than a Stock CRX had. How exactly is my car a pile of shit? It is a 2 owner car, has 80k miles, has never been modded, never been wrecked, and never been abused. I paid $6k for it. Find me a 97 GSR that is a one owner car, never modded or anything in the condition of my car... Thats right, its damn near impossible. I searched for months and finally found this one in pennsylvania.

To bad a stock CRX Si is faster than your GSR, has a nearly identicle suspension setup. How exactly does a GSR have more potential? Not all CRX are high miles either. Your making alot of false generalizations and bragging about 10 yr old car like its the shit

.... so sad. I'm sure that a 108 hp CRX Si is faster than a 170 hp Integra.... The CRX Si is the heaviest CRX, at 2200 lbs. A GSR weighs in at 2570-2650 depending on options. 450 lbs heavier, but 65hp more. It weighs 20% more but has 60% more power... The GSR has better gear ratios, and revs higher. Sorry man, numbers dont lie.

this is really a waste of my time. All you are doing is repeating what I have already said. State some facts and numbers, and don't just say a CRX is better. I have said my side, and all you do is say that I am condescending and bragging too much. I have proven my side with numbers. Stock Vs Stock, the GSR wins. yea CRX's are quick and have potential, but saying that they are better than a GSR is only a matter of your opinion. without facts, thats all it is, just an opinion.

whatever man. Obviously everyone else got the joke. I never bashed the CRX, go back and re-read. All I said was that GSR's are faster. Plain and simple. Bench racing huh.... I have outgrown the street racing thing, but in years past I have raced plenty of cars. enough to know how fast different cars are. I have had 2 civic's, a prelude, an integra, a honda N600, a 6 speed CL type S, A second gen Trans-Am with a built big block, a Z71, an Accord V6, as well as a few others I can't remember. I have driven pretty much everything there is, including a CRX (not sure which trim, this was two or three years ago). My point is that I am by no means a bench racer. I have raced enough cars to know that A GSR will beat a CRX in stock or lightly modded form.
I did not bash anybody's car, all I said was that the GSR is faster. Anybody who has driven both as I have will agree.

that GSR must have had something wrong with it.... drive another one and see how it is. I have driven both as well and the GSR was faster...

The whole point of this thread is you talking shit about something you know nothing about. You are also basing the weight factor on a 91 Si which IS the heavest of the bodystyle. Mine is an 88 which is the lightest, and has suspension based on the Integra Type R. That makes it faster than a 91 Si because it is lighter and handle just as well if not better than your GSR. How's your weight distribution on that thing? Mine is 52/48 front to rear. And you are right, the car isn't as much a pile of shit as the idiot driving it.
And FYI-your -1 means nothing compared to the -20 I gave you, stupid.

whatever man... don't get so defensive. I dont know why you say I am an idiot... I have built many honda's. I know my shit. this arguement was about a CRX Si, not a CRX HF or any others. I know the HF is lighter, but green91 and I were comparing GSR's with CRX Si's IN STOCK FORM. The 8 valve D15B6 in the HF only had like 70hp... the CRX LX/DX (mostly known as just a plain CRX) had 92 hp (D15B2), and the CRX Si had 108 hp (D16A6). The HF in 88 weighed about 1820 lbs, which put it at 25.98 lbs per HP STOCK. the LX/DX (which were the same, but badged differently depending on whether it was in the US or canada) weighed about 1920lbs, and had a power to weight ratio of 20.89lbs per hp. The lightest CRX ever was the 85-86 or 87 (I cant rember exactly), which weighed about 1710 lbs.. The heaviest was the 91 Si, which weighed about 2230lbs or so.
My point is that yes your car may be lighter, but in stock form it was not that fast. In 88, the cars were lighter than in later years, but it really doesnt matter since in STOCK FORM (which the whole arguement has been about) the HF and DX were underpowered. IF you have a B16A swap, (according to the specs of the JDM CrX SiR dohc VTEC) the weight would be 2260, minus the 200lb difference between the Si trim and the HF trim, and you would weigh in at about 2060 lbs. that puts the power to weight at 12.75 lbs per Hp, which would be very quick, much faster than a stock GSR. But the arguement here is stock to stock, and last time I checked, the CRX SiR was never offered here.
