the 3gs are cingular only sims..i can get you a nextel one if you need though since i work here now which is why im dumping me cingular ones.

These are SIM CARDS PEOPLE. The indentifier chip in your phone. i was just putting these up cause i have ZERO ise for them and cingular will charge you between 15-40 for a replacement so i figured if someone has an older phone, or if you randomly get "check sim " messages, this would help you out.

As far as the 3g signal, it only works at teh high speeds in certain areas.

most (if not all) cingular PDAs from 06-07 are 3g compatible

you can use them in any cingular phone but wont get the benefits of 3g unless its a 3g phone

A 3g SIM card will work in any CINGULAR phone. If you have a 3g phone, you NEED a 3g SIM card to get the 3g service. If you don't have a 3g phone but you have a 3g SIM card, your ok!! It'll possibly improve your coverage just a tad bit.

GSM phones are interchangeable between GSM phone services, such as CINGULAR and TMOBILE, as long as the phones are unlocked. Unlocking a phone is only $20. Verizon and Sprint phones are locked specifically to those 2 carriers individually. Sucks :yes:
