Wow, thats alot for a discontinued tail lens part. Guys who pay that much play some serious ball to just be "JDM". I just want discontinued parts manufactured again so i can restore the hatch minty. I.E. the 2jZ factory floormats were made in 2 last batches for all the Supra Owners to buy b/c the demand was there.

Guys, please don't hijack my thread and use the PM instead if you have questions.

The tail lights and headlights are very different in Japan. Just because you pay about $100 brand new a piece for the USDM tail, it doesn't meant you are going to expect the same for JDM. The manufacturing costs in Japan are much higher, each tail light piece is about 22,000 yen so a complete set is about $1000 US dollars.

Also the JDM tails have a much better build and quality to it. You always see the fading silver paint on the tailight housing of USDM 99-00 Civic and Accord of the same year, but the inner paint in the JDM version hold up very well over the time.

I know all too well about japanese designed vs. US designed parts. Look at the 15400-PLM-A01 and 15400-PLM-A02. I know all well about quality manufacturing. Your talking to a person who repects quality at fair market value. I completely understand quality and seek it like no other.....

I also Brands like - honda powereequipment, Stihl, Tumi, HKS, Greddy..... just to name some of the brands i like and respect. Plus i have 2jZ TRD steering wheel in the box. So, i know mid to high end, lol.

Fair market value is what i go by.

I have other examples i could give but i'm busy at the moment....lol.
